Our Bed and Breakfast was Architecturally designed and built in 2021/2022. We have 3 independent guest rooms with a covered Patio joining them to our house. Breakfast is served to guests in the main house in the morning.

Your hosts are Anna and Dane, we work day jobs in IT as well as running the Bed and Breakfast. Anna enjoys baking and cooking, so there will be a homemade treat in the room when you check in and the breakfast will include homemade breads.

There is a pool and a Spa/hot tub that are available to guests to use.

As the whole place is still very new we are working on the Landscaping and working towards having a fruit orchard as well as a good sized vegetable garden. The garden can be wandered round by guests.

Why come to the Wairarapa

The Wairarapa has lots of fun and interesting things on all year round. Its known for it’s wineries in Martinborough, Gladstone, and Masterton with a few others in the area too.

It has cycling trails and is connected to Wellington by the Remutaka Rail Trail with the Tauherenikau Loop and the Greytown Rail Trail on our doorstep.

The Wairarapa is a Dark Sky sanctuary which means there is significantly low light pollution and heaps more of the night sky that is visible.

There is the Mid-Winter Christmas Festival for the whole month of July. Daffodils in Carterton in September, Tulips at Longbush Cottage in September/October, Cobblestones Country Fete, and many more things throughout the year.

Greytown itself has a variety of shops, a great local butcher, a Gin distillery, book and bike shops. It celebrates Christmas in July each year so that you can see the Christmas lights without staying up late.

Featherston (15 minutes away) is New Zealand’s only official Booktown with heaps of secondhand book stores with lots of interesting books.

Martinborough (20 minutes away) while well known for its wine, also has several local Gin distilleries, a Beer brewery and some really good restaurants.

Carterton (15 minutes away) is well known for its daffodils in spring and has an annual WaiArt show with local artists.

Clareville (20 minutes away) has the Show Grounds where the annual A&P show is as well as several other events during the year.

Riversdale Beach, Castlepoint, Lake Ferry, Cape Palliser and Ngawi are all within reasonable driving distance if you want to see different aspects of the local coast line.
